… die ersten Hornissen liegen im Sterben.   Etwa ab August beginnt das Volk, neben Arbeiterinnen auch neue Geschlechtstiere heranzuziehen. Diese werden in größeren Zellen gezogen, wobei sich aber ein gewisser Prozentsatz der Weibchen auch der größeren Zellen zu Arbeiterinnen entwickelt, ein Teil der Männchen in normal großen Zellen. Daher kann die Zahl der Geschlechtstiere nicht anhand der großen Zellen abgezählt werden....
